Vibrational Sound Therapy Vibrational Sound Therapy (VST) is a holistic technique that uses the power of sound and vibrations to promote deep relaxation, healing, and balance within the body. At Kindred Roots Alchemy I use therapeutic grade singing bowls made from bronze alloy placed directly on the body. It’s the combination of sound and vibration that goes to the cellular level to facilitate healing. During a session, a bowl is placed on or near the body while you relax. I strike the bowl with a mallet in an orchestrated way, allowing the bowl to almost completely stop vibrating before striking it again. This helps the body and mind to gently go into a state of relaxation and rest. ***VST is not tied to any religious practice, though it draws from ancient wisdom and is often used along with reiki, yoga or meditation.
