Traditional Reiki Experience the soothing energy of Traditional Reiki in a nurturing environment. At Kindred Roots Alchemy, I offer restorative reiki sessions designed to help you re-balance, allowing the potential for healing within. The word Reiki translates in Japanese to “universal life energy”. Reiki allows the body to relax and potentially release what’s unneeded by gently moving blocked energy- working on the physical, mental, spiritual and emotional levels. When the body is relaxed, that’s when healing can occur. Well-known benefits of Reiki include: ~Stress and anxiety reduction ~Promotes better sleep ~Supports emotional healing ~Boosts physical healing What Reiki ISN’T: ~the energy of the practitioner, but rather the life force energy that is present around us all the time. The practitioner becomes a conduit allowing the energy to pass through into the client. ~affiliated with any religion ~Without some potential side effects; meaning on occasion the energy shakes up deep or trapped emotions that can sometimes make you feel a little gunky. This is perfectly normal and can be best managed by being gentle with yourself. Getting outside in nature, drinking plenty of water, spending time doing things you love and journaling are all ideas to help move through those feelings.
